Shanghai Alice is one of the Maker characters appearing in Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters. She represents the company Team Shanghai Alice.

Appearance
Shanghai Alice has long, brown hair tied to a ponytail with a large red bow and a headband on top and purple eyes. Taking inspiration from Reimu Hakurei of the Touhou franchise, her attire consists of a white and red shrine maiden dress with bows on her chest, detached sleeves and black and red footwear.
Personality
She is a refreshingly frank and down-to-earth girl who is nice to everyone, but does not grant them special treatment.

Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters
Chapter 1
Alice is first seen separating Higurashi from Nepgear at the Planeptune refugee shelter. She then introduces herself to the latter and tells her that she came to the continent due to the Trendi Outbreaks. She follows it up by stating that their trip was ruined and they ran out of money, and their way of survival was defeating monsters, and offers to help Nepgear.
Chapter 6
Higurashi and Alice decide to go undercover at the Arena. They both meet the Goddesses once again for a meeting. Alice states that they only allow audience members in the lobby or seating areas, and they've registered as participants. She also mentions that there are more places to access, and it's the shortest route to approaching the owner. She then follows it up by stating in order to meet the owner, one must win multiple matches, and if a competitor wins the finals, they get invited to a luxurious dinner. Nepgear responds by stating that if this is a work of Arfoire collecting money, the owner has a possible connection to her. Alice tells the Goddesses the deadline is coming up, and suggests one of them to sign up. They decide Nepgear should be the participant to represent them, in which Nepgear accepts.
Nepgear starts registering to participate in the Arena, but isn't sure how to sign up. Alice then assists Nepgear by telling her to talk to the receptionist, then she'll pick her rank. She also mentions that her opponent will be randomized based on her rank. She then makes a promise to Nepgear by stating if they get pitted against each other, set aside the mission and fight her seriously, because she doesn't want them notice anything suspicious and she doesn't like fighting a lot, but wants to see what Nepgear is made of.
As Nepgear advances to the third round, Alice tells her that she's her next opponent. Nepgear suggests she should forfeit, but Alice reminds her the promise she made. As she refuses to let Nepgear forfeit, Alice decides to go all out on Nepgear in the Arena.
Nepgear defeats Alice and advances to the finals. Alice congratulates her opponent and tells her if she wins the next one, she gets to meet the owner in person. She follows it up by stating her next opponent is the best fighter in the Arena, the ultimate battling machine. As Nepgear wonders who her mystery opponent is, Alice mentions that she never saw them fight, and heard rumors that they are so strong, no one ever stood a chance. Nepgear decides to stay confident and starts battling her final opponent.

Etymology
Shanghai Alice's name comes from the video game company Team Shanghai Alice, a Japanese developer known for making the Touhou franchise (though technically the only member of the company is musician and game producer ZUN).
Trivia
- Shanghai Alice's design is inspired by Reimu Hakurei, the main protagonist of the Touhou franchise, hence the large hairbow, detached sleeves, and use of a red-white colour scheme (derived from shrine maiden attire).
- More subdued elements of Marisa Kirisame, the second protagonist, are also present in the addition of a magic wand and secondary black-yellow colours.
- Shanghai Alice's quote regarding running out of money may reference Reimu's perpetual poverty. Defeating monsters is also her main job in the series.
