Final Fantasy: Sometimes when Neptune levels up, she may sing the Final Fantasy victory fanfare.
Spectral Tower: In an event where IF and Compa met the Planeptune sisters during the Worldwide Tower Climbing Tour, IF mentions "the notorious 10,000 floor tower", referencing the Last Tower seen in the game.

Blinky/Ms. Blinky/Clyde/Ms. Clyde/Inky/Ms. Inky/Pinky/Ms. Pinky: Named after ghosts from the Pac-Man series. Also features the key difference between Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man, by adding a bow.
Bomb-omburai/Ms. Bomb-omburai: Resembles the Bob-Omb enemy in the Super Mario series.
Dark Disc: A reference to the PlayStation's "black disc" CD-ROMs.
Met Froggy: References the Met enemy from the Mega Man series.
Piranha Flower: Resembles the Piranha Plant enemy in the Super Mario series.
Plum-met: Resembles the pipes seen in the Super Mario series.
