Neptune from the Ultra Dimension is a character who appears exclusively in the Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation OVA trilogy.
She first appeared in the OVA Neptune's Summer Vacation.

Appearance
Black Parka
Older Neptune's appearance is more or less the same as the smaller Neptune's. She has long lilac hair with bangs that reach down to her collar bone and purple eyes. In her hair she wears black hair-clips in the shape of D-pads and around her neck is a choker that has a light blue D-pad symbol on it. She wears a mostly black one-piece parka dress that has a purple hood, strings that look like controller plugs, and two huge black and purple pockets with blue circles on them.
The sleeves have two light blue stripes going all the way down while the front of the parka only contains one. The ends of the sleeves and the bottom of the parka have black and purple stripes. The zipper emblem and the back of the parka has a purple letter "N" to represent the first letter of her name. Unlike the other Neptune, she does not wear thigh-high socks and her shoes are black and purple. Another thing to note is the fact she wears a black and purple gun holster on her left thigh that matches the rest of her outfit.
Generator Unit
In her Generator Unit, she boasts a black two-piece bodysuit with a short-sleeved, translucent version of her parka with the "N" symbols on each side of her sleeve, matching fingerless gloves, hair clips and long mech boots.
Personality
This Neptune shares most of the smaller Neptune's traits, such as an innocent and simple minded way of thinking and a hatred of eggplants. Generally, her personality is in between the Hyper Dimension Neptune, bearing some aspects of both her normal and HDD forms.

She appeared in Nep's Summer Vacation to help Nepgear, Uni, Rom and Ram.
Older Neptune makes a dimensional phone call to Nepgear, stating that Croire has found a way to communicate with the Hyper Dimension and later arrives to Planeptune to meet Nepgear, Compa and IF. She explains to the trio how she got into the Hyper Dimension by stating that she walked into a gate that appeared before her eyes. Croire then tells her that they have plenty of time to do some sightseeing until the next dimensional gate opens up. Nepgear introduces IF and Compa to her, and mentions that her sister wanted to come with them, but is still too busy with work.
They take a tour of the Planeptune Costume Festival, then IF states that there will be an event starring the Planeptune sisters in HDD to fight various monsters in a special show in the evening, with Compa helping out behind the scenes. Nepgear mentions they have a present that her, IF and Compa created to give to her, when suddenly, she receives an emergency phone call from Histoire telling her to hurry back home. The four later return home only to see the Hyper Dimension Neptune in a deep sleep from overworking. Older Neptune asks Croire if this has anything to do with them arriving here. Croire disagrees and states that she has seen this before, and describes a certain goddess that ended up like this, who woke up hours later with no harm.
When IF, Compa and Histoire see the show being a disaster after Nepgear decided to do it herself, but ended up getting nervous, Older Neptune provides help, even though she's not a goddess. IF and Compa later come up with an idea to save the show with a special surprise.
Older Neptune later appears on the screen behind Nepgear to hype up the audience. She then makes them play along by telling them to chant "boing!" to kick-off the show. Coming out with an explosive entrance, she then changes to her Generator Unit costume to amaze the crowd with Nepgear later joining in by transforming into Purple Sister and starts flying around with her.
As the show begins, the both of them start fighting various Eggplanters by performing Mirage Dance and Nep Slash. Older Neptune later jokes about being the goddess of Planeptune and questions if it would be possible. They then continue with the show to wow the audience even more.
After a successful show at the festival, Older Neptune arrives in the Planeptower with luggage containing her Generator Unit, and finally meets her younger self for the first time.
After the CPUs were leveled down as children and brought back to the Planeptower by the CPU Candidates, excluding Neptune, older Neptune decides to play with them.
Later on, she volunteers to help Nepgear find the younger Neptune. As her location is pinpointed with Level Trick coming out of his cave, Histoire gives Purple Sister the Share Crystal in order for younger Neptune to restore her powers with older Neptune tagging along to help search for her.
During the search, the Share Crystal suddenly glows out of Purple Sister's hands and heads toward younger Neptune, restoring her powers, and defeats Level Trick. Older Neptune and Nepgear finally arrive at the scene to see Neptune back to her normal self unharmed, but Arfoire scares the three off with an "eggplant attack".
Trivia
- In the 2nd OVA of the trilogy, she can be seen wearing a cap that says Top Nep, occasionally appearing in memes and fanart created by the Western Neptunia fanbase before being made into official Neptunia merchandise and appearing in official 4koma comic strips illustrated by Tsunako.
- The hat is originally based on the Comedy Central sitcom Workaholics, where the character Adam would occasionally be seen wearing a similar hat, with Top Gun written on it. This was adopted by the 4chan message board, where it was changed to Top Lel, and later spread to the Neptunia fanbase where it was finally changed to Top Nep.
