Treasure Search

From Neptunia Wiki

Treasure Search is an ability present in Hyperdimension Neptunia, Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory and their remakes. It allows the player to find the hidden treasure that is invisible in a dungeon.

Hyperdimension Neptunia

IF finds a hidden treasure!

The Treasure Search ability can only be used by characters with a Bandit Bangle. When utilized, an arc of light is streamlined through the location of the hidden treasure. The hidden treasure will only then become visible in the form of a blue treasure chest if utilized near its exact spot. The player must wait for the ability to recharge before being able to put to use again.

There is only one hidden treasure chest per dungeon and will not respawn once found unless it contains a quest item required for an optional dungeon.

Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2

Nepgear finds a hidden treasure, too!

Inside the dungeon, the leader of the party is able to use this ability. The character will emit a purple sonar that reaches through a certain radius per use. When the sonar hits a hidden treasure, it becomes visible and available for pick-up. The ability has no recharge time, allowing the player to use it indefinitely.

There is only one hidden treasure per section of a dungeon, but they will respawn if the player leaves the dungeon.

The icon representing the hidden treasure is hidden in a map unless it's made visible by the ability or by having the Dowsing Rod DLC installed.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory

The system is identical to mk2. The only difference is the DLC needed to be installed for the hidden treasure's icon to always appear on the map without having to use the Treasure Search ability, which is Loveless Eye.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 and Re;Birth2

The system these games are identical to mk2 and Victory. The main difference is the Laplace Eye function does not require DLC, being a Remake Plan instead.
