Scout
The Scout System makes its first appearance in Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. By utilizing the scout system the player can alter the dungeons as they like by sending out scouts. The scout system can be accessed from the Scout Board or from the main menu.
Overview
Scouts are special NPCs that are utilized in the Scout System. By sending them out to the various dungeons in Gamindustri, Scouts can change dungeon effects, find other scouts, find items, locate hidden dungeons, and even find lost places.
There are several factors that come into effect when using scouts:
- Scout Time: This is the amount of time that will have to pass in a dungeon during a dispatch before the Scout returns with their report. Each dungeon has different scout times. An easy way of making time past is to simply go to the dungeon scouts have been sent to and exit which will have made that time pass. If you have scouts in multiple dungeons then go to a dungeon that has a higher scout time than all of them and then exit.
- Believing and Disbelieving: Whether you choose to believe or disbelieve the findings of your scouts can have different effects. If your Scout brings information on dungeon changing effect and you choose to believe it this could lead to to negative effects if the information was accurate. Likewise, if you choose not to believe then the dungeon will remain the same. Believing and disbelieving also has an effect on lost places.
In addition to the aforementioned factors, Scouts also have their own unique stat parameters that determine their effectiveness in certain fields. These will determine how often or not you should trust their information and whether or not they will be successful in bringing back a variety of different information. They are as followed:
- Judgement: Outline of the information brought back.
- Observation: Details on the information brought back.
- Constitution: Probability of success or dispatch failure.
- Luck: Information access and temporary success.
- Stamina: Item number available.
In order to use a scout you must pay them a fee. As they level up you can pay them more and influence their dispatch reports such as the items they bring back.

Dungeon Effects
By choosing the to believe of disbelieve the scouts, different effects can become active within the dungeon. There are a total of five effects that can occur in each dungeon. It should be noted that effects do not stack and so choosing to believe one effect while another is already active will cause the previous effect to be replaced.
