Chou Shin Jikuu Game Neptune: Unlimited/Gameplay

From Neptunia Wiki
  • Note: This page is taken from the official website.[1]

Battle system

The battle system in Chou Shin Jikuu Game Neptune: Unlimited is action-based, similar to Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters and Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution. While it retains most of the key mechanics from its predecessors, such as 4 party members and Link Chains, the characters are also able to fight in aerial battles when in goddess form.

Trigger skills

Trigger skills are unique special skills with one effect for each character. Some examples include:

  • Neptune/Purple Heart has "Nep Entry," which allows her to approach enemies at high speed.
  • Ciel/Blue Heart has "Adaptive Impact," which makes her temporarily invincible and allows her to unleash slashes.
  • Blanc/White Heart has "Kettephoninteresa," which temporarily draws the attention of all enemies around her.
  • Vert/Green Heart has "Microvert," which grants allies around her a guaranteed critical hit effect

There are a variety of trigger skills, ranging from those specialized in offense to those specialized in defense and support.

End of the World battles

In this mode, all 11 goddesses will be deployed to take on the colossal "Apocalypse Boss" in a spectacular battle.

End of the World skills

Apocalypse skills are special attacks unleashed by the Apocalypse Bosses. When certain conditions are met, the Apocalypse Bosses will perform special actions such as "summoning a large number of meteors" or "changing the location of their weak points". Special rules set for each boss will lead to strategic battles that require strategic thinking.

End of the World counter skills

Counter skills can only be used once per character during an Apocalypse Battle. These are incredibly powerful, and using them when the player has an opportunity can overwhelm their opponent, while using them when they're in a pinch can help them turn the tide of battle.

Character customization

Players can customize a character of their choosing by equipping different costumes, processors, weapons, accessories. etc.

Enhancing Processor Units

As the player progresses through the story, base functions will be unlocked. Items collected in dungeons and other areas can be used to upgrade the Processor Units. Upgrading each processor unit not only changes its performance, but also its physical appearance.

Disc Developer

Disc Developer makes its return in this game and allows characters to acquire various abilities when equipping a disc. Players can develop new discs by combining empty discs and core ideas. Up to three sub-ideas can be used to make it easier to attach abilities. They can also further strengthen discs through upgrades.

Combo customization

Combo skills are automatically selected based on the situation. However, players can also choose which combo skills are used by configuring "combo customization".

Furthermore, players can choose the shortcut settings for tactical skills and skills used in tactical links. The number of usable skills increases as the character grows.

Color Edit

Players can freely change the colors of a character's equipment, such as costumes and accessories, and can choose a color scheme that fits their preference.

Accessories

Accessories can be attached to wherever place on a character, and the color, size and angle can also be adjusted.
