Costume Canvas is a mechanic used in Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 and Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory where the player can upload custom outfits for the CPUs and Candidates from their PlayStation 3's photo album.

Costume Canvas was first introduced in Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 where the player can only customize Purple Sister's core processor unit.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory

With the mechanic identical to mk2, this would later expand to customization of the CPUs and the rest of the CPU Candidates.

How To Use

Creating a Custom Costume

1. Download a template from the official website:
   • https://www.compileheart.com/neptune_mk2/template.html

2. Extract the .zip file you have downloaded.
3. Open the .psd file with an image editing software of your choosing that supports it (Photoshop, GIMP, etc.)
4. Edit the template with your own design.
5. Save the template as a .jpg or .png with your own unique filename.

Uploading Costumes

1. Transfer custom canvas that you've created or downloaded to your PS3's hard drive.
   • The picture must be a perfect square with a 16x16 minimum resolution and 1024x1024 maximum resolution and in .jpg or .png format.
2. Start up Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 or Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory.
3. Once on gameplay, go to the menu and select Equipment.
4. Select any CPU or Candidate, then go to Equipped Processor.
5. Go to Costume Canvas and select Change Texture.
6. Select an image of your choosing.
   • Please note that using character specific costumes should not be mixed with other characters.
7. Adjust the canvas.
8. If you are satisfied with the results, click confirm. If not, you can readjust or click Image Select to change to a different texture.
